There are some who scoff at the thought of establishing a manufacturing entity so far from an Interstate Highway. While it would not be sound business to manufacture swathers, or modular homes in this region for the sake of their size, The cost of transportation for smaller products remains inconsequential as the transportation cost per unit is easily offset by the large quantity of product being transported per load.
We must remember the truck driver component of this endeavor is another job and the transportation firm that hires him is another business.
We must also remember the trucks that bring product to town frequently leave the area empty. We can strive to take advantage of that opportunity as well as endeavoring to make viable products that remain competitive in value.
It is possible the biggest transportation challenge will likely be having to tolerate the rhetoric from the individuals who insist it can't be done cost effectively.
